that should have been discussed up front when you were hired.

I have also seen companies only pay overtime for anything over a 40 hr week average. Pay bi-weekly and work you 48 hrs one week and 32 the next week.

Well, I'll find out....I need to pull out the handbook again. But one thing I found interesting, is that we CAN'T skip a lunch break. If you don't clock out for lunch, and you are scheduled one, you WILL get the 30 minutes deducted for it...so..

The joys of salary and a boss that was abused in a past job..

Im scheduled 8 to 5 with an hour lunch. My boss looks as it as long as I have a company phone, its as good as being in the office. We both come in 10 to 20 minutes late each day, take long lunches, stuff like that. But on the otherhand, I have been there till midnight or 1 on several occations.

That's understandable, PLUS it's really cool. I'd love to have a boss like that. Granted my boss is cool, but it's the upper management that isn't so cool. I've come in late a few times, and a lot of them I called about an hour or two before I was supposed to come in and he was cool with me coming in late so...

well, at our location, its my boss and I and two draftsmen. His boss is in Houston at the corporate R&D center.
We indirectly report to the General manager of the manufacturing facility for our product line, but he is mostly oblivious to what we do or whats going on so he doesn't keep track of us.

That's a plus. My "supervisor" sits right back here with us, but the "director" of CS sits over with everyone else...doesn't bother me, but if they start f'ing with my hours or something, we are gonna have issues.

When you become their best employee, they will probably give you all the hours you want.
