    New goodies.

I finally used the gift certificate that my Mom, Dad and Bro got my X-mas.

I wasn't ever able to order anything because of not being home to receive packages all week long, so this last week of being unemployeed I figured now would be a good time.

Here is what I picked up.

    1. Logitech G15 keyboard
    2. Logitech MX Revolution mouse
    3. 2gb miniSD card for my PDA phone.

I lost my 1gb module a couple weeks ago. My MX500 mouse and the eluminx keyboard that I won at BB are both worn out. Serveral keys work only half the time, mouse is unresponsive...

Very nice Knight! Once again, you proved your geekiness! hehe...

Since I am going to be unemployed in about 10 days and don't have another one lined up....I gotta take it easy, very easy on my spendings!

Nah, I actually made a very bold move and moved without having a job or anything! lol

Now you know why they called me 'Loco'!

Well, the job turned out to be a entry-level support job and in spite of having advancement potential in near future, I still saw it as a huge stepdown from a career path perspective and also hated the 'call center' environment since I was doing more of a analysis/troubleshooting for the last 5-6 years, this new job seems elementary as well. The pay is not too bad for the type of job it is but I need something more fulfilling, more challenging due to my experience and knowledge level (and also preference).

So, I am, yet again making another bold move...worse case scenario, F1 might hire me to clean up after him by picking up empty beer bottles and filter the pool, etc.

PS. Who is the girl and the baby in the pic??

The girl is my long time GF/fiancee'/whatever-title-at-the-moment... she happens to be the one in the "Cancer" thread.

The baby is her son's infant - my grand-daughter.

We had a ceremonial wedding, nothing legal.. had to so that she could get all the medical help that she needed. If they would have figured in my wages, we wouldn't have gotten any help.

I understand and find your help quite noble! I am sorry about what happened to her...I just can't believe you are a grandfather (sorta) already. I thought you were around my age (mid 30s) and she didn't look old enough to have a son who would be old enough to have a child...

Yep.. She was 40, her son will be 20 in October. I just turned 35 a month ago.

Teeny's ex in-laws (including her ex-husband) and her blood family considered me as her husband, and Lani's other grandpa. I cant have kids of my own, let alone ever have grandkids. They know I cant either. I was accepted into their families like I was blood, her even her ex-husband and ex-mother-in-law think the world of me for the way I cared for and treated Teeny's son all these years.

I know it all sounds kinda messed up, but its all I got.

    Thumbs up

I am sorry about 'not being able to have kids' part. I m not sure if I am even capable, without mating it is hard to find out I suppose?

Some people have that certain special personality that they can care for the children that are not their own blood and there are those who can't even be a parent to their own blood!

From what you shared with us, I can tell you have done well and you should be proud and happy with what you got!
