It is asked here that you follow the read me before posting sticky. After following all steps, please attach all appropriate logs for the admins to look at.Also include your system resources to rule out anything else that may cause troubles. When using Hijack this, make sure to use version 1.99.0.1 and not the beta 2 version since it can give false positives.Someone will look at your logs and start on the road to recovery soon.

I don't believe HJT 1.99.1 supports Vista but version 2 which was released by TrendMicro does. So use v2 instead.

Sorry TL,I did not realize that they had released a version for Vista.I'm still on an old OS and have had no need to look and see if it had been released.I will pay closer attention to peoples OS's before reminding to use 1.99.1.

Could be a bug with the program or due to the condition your system is in, whether it is a corrupt OS, failing HDD or malware infection, there is definitely something wrong, that is not an acceptable scan time.

I am not saying it is a rogue program but definitely not something that has been around as far as I know so why use SuperAntiSpyware when there are already efficient, reputable free and paid spyware scanners around?

Also, Bully, have you gone through the steps in the sticky that Pheonix mentioned? Please provide feedback on this as well.

Don't worry about it, it is an easily overlooked fact. Generally we do prefer version 1.99.1 but in the case of Vista, I wouldn't rely on 1.99.1 results, that is all.
