    Well....I got Promoted...

    Again....

    Yup, that's right...again.

It's only been 2 months since my last promotion and I'm not being promoted again. It's actually quite interesting to see what this company thinks of me now that people actually know the work that I do.

I got called into a conference room by my manager last Friday afternoon, and he told me "I'm kicking you out of my department." I started going nuts....I wasn't sure what I had done to get kicked out of the department but I sure as hell didn't want to go back to doing customer service. So I listened, trying to figure out what I had done to deserve that. My manager (Todd) went on to explain that the billing systems department needed someone as our department leader had just left to go to Meijers, and they needed someone to fill the secondary position (who just got promoted to the department manager). I was told that what I have done, shown, and how I've proven myself in just these two months that I've been here is phenomenal, and I was told that if I didn't take the position "[he] would kick my @$$." (Yes, his exact words). I wasn't sure what to make of it, as I'm not majoring in computers, but the position has a LOT of accounting in it also. Moreso than what I'm doing now. (My boss is a great guy, always looking out for us (employees), so I'm glad I was considered).

But the FUNNIEST part of this all, I was NEVER even looking for a new position or job. The Manager of the billing systems department asked me some questions last monday about what I was going for in school and how I was doing (he said that he was trying to figure out a school for a cousin, which I knew was a load of crap). Then he talked to the CFO, who talked to my manager, who then approached me about the position.....Second promotion without looking.....

So, I have been promoted again. Working with our billing system and working with acquisitions. Plus I got another pay raise

    He is probably jealous! lol.

    Well, congrats Gizmo!

...probably kissed a lot of ...

But seriously, it is better for the company to promote an under-paid, overworked royal employee with a cheesy raise than hire someone outside th company which would likely to cost them a lot more $$$.

I personally lost my respect and faith in most of the American Corporations due to outsourcing so for me, it is all about making the $$ while you can!

Well, enjoy your new promo Gizmo, I am sure you deserved it!

LMAO!! Thanks TL! They have been doing a lot of internal promoting lately, probably because they realize that their ****ed up systems are too hard to teach to a new person. But it's Ok. I'm enjoying it so far, and the raise always helps.
