Hello,
I've had this thing called "BlackCore" for awhile and I remove it was S&D but later it comes back. Now today it's been coming back more frequently and I even saw my Mozilla Firefox icon change to a new name "the". I'm positive I did not change the name so I'm thinking BlackCore did it.
S&D says that BlackCore can take over system-critical functions and copy itself to the system directory. It then tries to connect to the internet, open a browser window and display an advertising website. I can't say that I've seen any advertising websites. I've seen my computer slow down or lag at times which is odd because my computer has been fine speedwise. (I'm on Dsl but it wasn't as slow as it was with this BlackCore)
1) Could someone please help explain how to remove this from my computer?
2) Could someone also tell me what the BlackCore exactly does. I know it said advertising but I think it had other effects like slowing a computer down.
Also I heard removing this manually could potentially destroy my computer. So is there someone who could simplify and help me rid this trojan?
I'd be very greatful if someone could help. I've been stressing out because of this a lot.
