    HJT Log Help (Vista)

    I installed Vista a few weeks ago and now getting random pop ups from weird sites - I've run the regular spyware programs but they keep popping up. If anyone could pls help me out.

    My HJT log is attached.

    Your log shows several infections, Vundo for one, also a hijacker known as Searchcentrix seek4free hijacker or Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Stubby.d
    First thing you need to do is the following;
    Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.

    Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
    In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the
    Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

    After you do that then please go to this link

    Follow all of the steps there and then post requested logs back here.
    Somebody will then continue with needed steps.

    How long is VundoFix meant to be running with a black screen for? It's was over 30mins until I forced a reboot as I thought it was taking too long.

    If you already downloaded the fix, then try running it in the Safe Mode, this might help the tool to do a more efficient job!
