    You should have had AVG-Anti-spy clean the items found.
    Run it again, in SAFE MODE and configure it this way;
    Please Launch AVG Anti-Spyware.
    -- Click on the Scanner button and choose the Settings Tab.
    ---> Under How to act?, click on Recommended action and choose Quarantine to set default action for detected malware.
    --->Under Reports make sure Automatically generate report after every scan is selected and UNCHECK the Only if threats were found box.
    -- Leave everything else at their default settings and Select the Scan tab and CLICK Complete System Scan to scan your machine.
    -- Upon completion of the scan, Click Apply all actions to place any detected baddies in Quarantine.
    Save the log and post back here with the new one.

    I really don't see much in the HJT log, some extra's running at start up which are not necessary;
    QuickTime Task
    RealPlayer Update
    iTunes
    AIM.
    None of those need to run at start and can be run manually if needed.
    I recommend using Mike Lin's StartUpControlPanel to control auto starts.
    You might take a look at ~ TL's link How to configure Windows Services in XP
    to disable some unnecessary starts that all XP systems have running. This should speed things up quite a bit.
    As for those items in Add/Remove that you can't identify, they all are legitimate programs;
    IrfanView>>>photo editor
    Learnout & Hauspie truVoice American English TTS Engine>>>A computerized system and method of teaching spelling interfaces with an application that captures a user's misspelled words and adds them to a word database
    OmniPass>>>application that can be used by consumers and enterprises to securely login to websites and applications (SSO) as well as protect data on a PC
    .PS2>>>Playstation2
    Python2>>>object-oriented programming language
    S3 Display>>>Graphics Display driver
    S3 Gamma2>>>Graphics
    s3 Info 2>>>graphics
    S3 Overlay>>>graphics overlay utility
    ShowBiz DVD>>>video editor
    SimpleBackup for my pictures
    >>>back up utility for photos
    Simple installer
    >>>system tool

    It appears that AVG cleaned up the screensaver problem.
    KillWind found by the Kaspersky scan is not a virus. It came pre-installed on your PC by HP when you first purchased it. This is what is known as a "false positive".

    When you say not as fast as it used to be, do you mean when it was brand new? Was this before you added any programs? Is it slower all the time or just online? Exactly WHAT is slower?

    Yeah, I was thinking to before many programs were added. When you click on a folder or program there is a delay that seems longer then on other comuters. It is also quite slow on start up. Its much beter then it was but not as good as i thought that it would be. I thought that the lag before a file opened would be less but that could just be me being used to my faster computer and not my little brothers. If it is virs free though i shouldn't have to worry though, right? thanks for looking at the logs and if you have any suggestions on how to make it faster without buying anything im open to suggestions, ill be out of town until the end of the week so sorry for any delay in responding.

    Did yu go to the link I gave you How to Configure XP
    and go through the steps in the link that ~TL gives there?
    Other than that I can't think of anything else to speed it up without spending money on it.
