download winrar or winzip and use the trial version. it keeps going and going, so dont worry. also, winzip is already in the windows xp service pack 2 (like extract files here, or something)

then, get ur friend to send it thru .RAR or .ZIP format and enjoy your anime

(bittorrent is used for downloading anime, too)
