Broadcasting to IP...

Hi, recently I've been getting popups asking for programs to broadcast to various IPs, I've just been blocking most of them but as it has become quite a regular occurance thought I'd have a post on here to see if its anything specific.
Adaware, spybot, AVG spyware+virus dont pick anything up. The IP being broadcasted to by word recently was 224.0.0.22.
Hijackthis log is attatched, cheers for any info.

Do you mean "somebody" wants WORD to broadcast to somebody? Word is not an internet program so I don't know how it could broadcast.
What exactly is giving you these pop-ups? Your firewall, your anti-virus program?
The IP number you noted is not valid that I can find.

I have sygate personal fire wall, and I get popups saying "program is trying to broadcast to IP" and the most recent one I got was for word to be broadcasting to that IP. I had word open but was not using it for annything to do with the internet.
Also, not sure if its connected at all but I also have windows defender however it no longer runs at startup, instead I get error "0x800106ba" "Application failed to initialize 0x800106ba. A problem caused Windows Defender service to stop".
Any reason why word would want to broadcast at all?

Windows Defender is adequate for free "real time" protection.

I prefer AVG AntiSpyware - it is excellent, though the "real time" protection expires after a month if you do not purchase it. However, you can still internet update its malware definitions and scan "on demand" anytime you so desire.....

Yeah, I have both, well I will do once/if it installs haha.
But also while Im thinking about problems with my computer, any reason you can think of why it won't run explorer very well? It manages sometimes but there are some folders it can't do, it just brings up the torch icon and crashes after a couple of minutes of that.. Nothing really set it off it just started happening as far as I know.

I see you have Spy Sweeper showing in you HJT log. That is another solid app. I'd stick with that.

As to the performance issues, there could be any number of causes..... Insufficient RAM, corrupted system files, etc . . . . Kinda hard to pin down without more info or being able to actually sit in front of the machine itself.

okay so since last night my computer has decided to just not start up. Every time it gets to the Windows XP loading screen a BSOD appears and it crashes back and tries to restart again.
I took a photo of the BSOD on my phone but the picture is a bit fuzzy. From what I can make out it says:
"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to protect your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ati2dvag.dll
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"

It then says to restart my pc and if that doesnt work to make sure any new software is installed... The only new software installes was Spysweeper the new beta one, spyblaster and the new hijackthis. I also removed Microsoft VM java.

The BSOD then goes on to say
"Technical infomation:
*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xB9B15000, 0x00000000, 0xBFA08093, 0x00000000)
*** ati2dvag.dll - address BFA08093 base at BF9d50000, Datestamp 43fbdea6"

Then it says its dumping memory.

Atm It will run in safe mode, i ran all antiviruses and spyware stuff I had, only tracking cookies came up. Anything else i can do?

The file noted is your display driver. Have you tried updating the driver or have you recently updated the driver? If so maybe you used the wrong driver.
If you just installed spysweeper and this happened, then I certainly would uninstall that program and see if it makes a difference. Plus you say this is a beta version of spysweeper, beta means it is not the finished product, so to speak, it is still being tested.
Have you checked the Event Log to see what shows there concerning your error? Control Panel, Administrative Services, Event Viewer.
The java you should be using is SunJava
