    A Firearms Refresher Course

My friend Matt (some of you know as trekrider) sent this to me. I thought a few of you would appreciate it

    A FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE
    1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
    2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
    3. Colt: The original point and click interface.
    4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
    5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
    6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
    7. "Free" men do not ask permission to bear arms.
    8. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
    9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
    10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
    11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
    12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.
    13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
    14. Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians.
    15. Know guns, know peace, know safety.
No guns, no peace, no safety.
    16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
    17. 911 - government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
    18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
    19. Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
    20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
    21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
    22. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.
    23. Enforce the "gun control laws" we ALREADY have, don't make more.
    24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
    25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.
    26. "A government of the people, by the people, for the people..."

gun control is about being able to hit what you are aiming at. If more people had "proper" gun control, number 19 is negated.

Well, sh!t . . . The Bush administration better duck and cover as gun owners rush to defend the Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

    Who's fighting for this right?
Are your firearms really going to protect you when the government is kicking in your door?

Yep... our firearms will do a lot more than saying we're gonna call 911 to have more police show up to help the initial government thugs. Just remember, there are 70,000,000+ firearm owners in the USA and there are maybe 3,000,000 Federal "officers" and military personnel combined - of that 3M government, maybe half of them, if that, would actually go against the people. So that leaves 1.5M vs 70,000,000. ....I'm sure that 1.5M would fight fearsomely to the end like the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae - but they would end up like them too, dead.

They can only kill me once, but I can take several of "them", whomever they may be, with me.

The day the goverment starts f'ing with its people is the day the infamous quote:
"Ask not what your goverment can do for you, ask what you can do for your goverment!" is the day the quote will change to:
"Ask not what your goverment can do to you, ask what you can do to your goverment!"

Goverments exists because of people not the other way around....I am not found of guns (cuz I am a clumsy freak) but still, I do like the constitution that allows its citizens to bear arms. After all, I rather have a gun and not need it, than need it but not have one (Alien vs Predator).

LOL, or at least one of those big telescoping poles of death (predator 2)

Right now, Bush is trying to pass an "immunity" clause for big tele/communication companies like ATT, and your ISP, so that they cannot get sued for providing unwaranted wiretaps... This is interesting because they wiretap anyone and everyone that they can come up with first, twice and even third or more removed "associations" with "suspected terrorists"

That means if someone that is a suspected terrorist comes on our forum and start's posting "help me fix my alexa problem" Everyone on the forum, and anyone that can be determined to be "associated" with any one of those forum members is automatically wire tapped through all possible media..

I saw on our local government access channel a point of order that confirms this practice is "REAL" because they were asking the head of the commity if their department was currently upholding our rights to privacy by destroying wiretapping records of dead end leads gathered from first, twice, third or more removed associations of suspected terrorists...

Your Privacy rights are being defended by the government to an extent of a question that had to be asked, but the requirement to be held accountable for either destroying or not destroying the gathered intel may have been nullified by underhanded techniques using an out of order question made as a point of order, durring an unrelated cross examination, due to them not having the TIME to either confirm or deny the requirement durring that unrelated hearing. An out of order, point of order can be put to bed at that time and probly cannot be re-itterated without propper notice.. Time constraints may keep the subject from being re-itterated due to tight hearing schedules... So as long as the companies cannot be sued for wiretapping, and the records may or may not exist, you may never be able to protect your privacy rights, or seek restitution for any abuse of your privacy rights, because of the records being used later on, even though they didn't get what they were looking for, they might have something on record that wasn't bad at the time, but due to the retained records by the big companies, because they are indemnified etc, you might be up **** creek without a paddle. So yeah.. Do we need to get involved in our legal system?
Knowing your rights is even bad for your legal defense, because you can't use the catch, I was unaware of it at the time, and we may not be able to rely on due process laws because the government may just wipe that out all together in order to preserve their absolute control over anyone they don't like, for whatever reason.. Are they corrupted and totaly untrustworthy? Considering all new software and hardware products are coming with doors, windows, eye's and ears... YES!! they want everyone to be afraid to even talk against them. With powerfull ultra fast automatic keyword triggered wiretaps on all forms of communication all they will "ALLOW" you to say without triggering some kind of threat assessing machine will be conversations with your mom n pop about when you are going to need more milk.. If you like to learn chemistry, outside of an institution, or "authorised" educational facility, you would be risking your freedom, even though your constitution says you have the right to persue happyness and learning chemistry makes you happy but because certain chemical names might trigger the risk assessment machine and dispatch the white vans to monitor your every move, you go on being a glob of grease for the revenue generating socialy engineered commune called "the city" because if you don't your fear will triger the chemical reaction in your body that they count on keeping you in check, because you don't even know what the things in your food and water do to your central nervous system, or your brain chemistry.. And even if you do know what "theraputic" effects those certain chemicals do to you, you are not allowed to have your consumables tested to ensure that you are not being poisoned by default... they say "we don't test private citizens tap water" and such things... And they always have "plausible deniability" for those circumstances, such as you must have been in contact with "such and such" because they already know everything that you are doing..

Even though you may not, would you like living in fear of your own freedom?

Oh yeah and I nearly forgot, discussions that may be "political-in-nature" are not allowed here
