E-Mails Subject Starting with Hey (your name or nickname)

Anyone else getting these? They seem to come from one of my contacts on
Facebook, but I also got one from another one recently.

Can this come from Facebook? It is one of few places that I use that
    nickname, Buffalo.

For instance, the subject line will say Hey Buffalo .

On the lower From line : (my contact's name) <y980d76d5634bd@yahoo.com>

It will then direct me to
    hTtP://wWw.IrsdF.nET/clapachievement...kvoj/rpkddewv/
which then directs me to a http://raspberryketones4loss.com type ad
    site.

Anyone know how to stop this? I still have some of the emails and I can copy
items out of the Properties of the email if that would help.

    Thanks
    Buffalo

The only thing that's consistent with these emails is the "Hey <name>"
subject line. The links change, the Yahoo account changes with every new
"Hey..." email. This is a typical spammer tactic to make it harder to
    filter out.

Long ago I turned on the spam filter of my ISP email account and it does
an effective job of catching the "Hey..." emails and many others.

If that's not an option for you, then use the filter or message rules of
your email software to move these into the trash or a "Temp" folder.
