I build every system I own.

I'm running win-98 right now on a Asrock motherboard with 2gb ram, 3.6
ghz Core2 CPU, 1.5 tb SATA hard drive, and Nvidia 6200 256mb AGP video
    card.

    **** the "security".

It's the LACK OF VULNERABILITY that is the core concept here.

Too many people like you have "security" on the brain. Ever since 9/11
    I suppose.

The answer to having a weak front-door is NOT to hire a security guard.
The answer is to not have the ****ing door to being with.

NT-based OS's have too many ****ing doors.

All well and good... I suppose. It's not hard to assemble parts tho.

So you're actually wasting hardware potential. Win9x isn't taking
    advantage of it dude.

Eh? I don't follow this line of thinking.

    > It's the LACK OF VULNERABILITY that is the core concept here.

    Lack of vulnerability? Dude...

It's not invulnerable, it's old. It's still capable of being exploited
with various IE holes, java scripts, vbs etc etc etc. It'll still run
whatever PE32bit executable you or someone else wants. It won't protect
other running apps or itself from modification.

I've been around a little longer than 9/11. I know you think of me as a
smartass or something, but I'm actually a retired well known virus
writer.. I know your system a little better than you do.

I wasn't always an antimalware "security" guy. I was once with the other
    side. LOLz.
