Okay, I am really confused and so glad you are helping me because I went to my Uninstall list in the Control Panel and the McAfee is not showing up on the list. I did tell it to uninstall so I am wondering what happened since it is still showing up on the log. Did it make a difference that it came already loaded on the computer when I received it instead of me installing it? Should I contact McAfee? I know a lot of questions but Wow so frustrating. If you remember me from last year on Daniweb I am in my mid 50's and not tec savy at all. Anyway, I am guessing that having McAfee still installed is why I can't turn on my firewall and why I keep getting notices from Avast every few minutes that a threat has been detected. But that of course is just my guess and I guess a lot that is why I am seeking more experienced advise. So glad I thought to email you through PM and you directed me here because almost 24 hours after posting my problem on Daniweb no one has responded with advise, not sure why. Anyway a great BIG thank you to you!
