    Gimme back my Klipsch!!!!! (pics)

So I've had these Altec Lansing spkrs I got from microcenter a few months ago. I liked the sound of them, but they weren't quite as good as my old Klipsch ProMedia 5.1s. Well, since the amp/control pod fried in my Klipsch set, the 5 satelites have been setting in my garage, gathering dust. Soooooo, I had the bright idea to take them under the knife, and get some of my rich Klipsch sound back. MWA-HAHAHAAAAA

    Not too shabby!

Definitely sounds better than the Altec's did. A much heavier and richer mid and highs. Overall, worth the chop-job.

My logitech's I think are around a decade old and yes they suck... I use a turtle beach headset on my PC quite a bit. I used it a TON back when I was playing on my PS3 a ton in the corner hooked to my computer screen LOL.

God I'm getting old and so is my stuff LOL

The ones I use when I watch a movie are some old infinity studio monitors that I bought when I was like 18 but they're "too loud" according to my wife. I watched real steel with my son recently with them on at a reasonable level.... my neighbor above and over heard it LOL.

At least you dont have to do gaming on headset is all I can say

LOL Yeah. My neighbors are close too, but no shared walls (thank God) I USED to have a pair of JBL Studio 5's hooked to my Sony receiver coming from my SB card. That was a bit overkill. LOL These and the Altec sub are more than enough. Although, I like using my earbuds off of my SteelSeries keyboard's headphone jack(only when the wife is here tho) hehe. When she's not, the boy and me game with the spkrs on.

nice work on re-configuring the alteks.. I've still got my altek 3.1 ac series hooked to an xbox 360 for some crackdown. stuck with using plantronics headest/mic for most of my PC gaming, occasionally hooking the pc to my akai 250 watt DC servo amp and pair of yamaha studio monitors but that doesn't last long due to the rest of the family chiming in on the noise.

My JBL Pro's that I bought from Compaq back when the Slot A Athlons were the hot item in 1999 are still rock'n my house. They have a cigarette tar yellow hue now, but they will bellow out all my onboard sound card can give. The 75w sub from the package will still vibrate any window in the house and annoy the neighbors.

I've been using these speakers ever since the early AthonOC days. They are the only component I still have from then.
