    LCD Monitors

Is there any chance that they make an LCD monitor with a greater than 60hz refresh rate??

The only thing holding me back right now from going the LCD route with a spanned array is the fact that I get sea-sick if I look at an LCD display for more then 5 minutes. ...and thats even just doing email, spreadsheets, etc. Couldn't image trying to game on an LCD. Even looking at this laptop display makes me ill if I do it for a varying number of minutes.

From prior experience, 70hz is all that I need to keep from having to go lay down and take a nap..

    What I'm looking for is:
    19" wide or standard
    thin edge frame
    800:1 contrast or greater
    8ms or less response.
cheap since I'm looking to buy at least 3 of them.

I'm running my dell 19"fp at 75hz, although, I think there's a lack of information about most of the marketing terms used to discribe the pixel "response time" in MS, if a monitor has 4ms gray to gray? what does that mean? if it takes an lcd 4ms to respond to a refresh at gray to gray, what's the time for the black to white? and how does the refresh rate effect the response time? Are there strange effects created in the display colors caused by a pixel site changing color between refresh hz? I'm sure it can only add to the time it takes to respond.. Inquiring minds want to know!

Well.. It was pointed out at another site, that the refresh rate works differently with LCD as it does for CRT. I'm still a little puzzled to what makes me sea-sick when I look at theses things.

Right now, I'm guessing the response rate instead of the refresh of my prior post.

I really want to span (3) 19" monitors for some of the stuff I do. I like CRT's fine pixel size, especially for CAD-E or gaming - but the damn frame is too wide to make 2 or monitors look something resembling a single monitor..

There's some good flat crt's "CHEAP" trinitrons that you can cobble into thinner frames on the sides, but they do have alot of extra black space in the glass between the edge and the usable glass. Sounds like too much fun though.
