    One is enough!

Theft law and copyright law are, um, two different laws. I didn't say
you "stole" anything; I said, at your implication, that you "broke
copyright law" which seems to be true.

    Er...

You believe me to be what now?
Seriously? And no, what they do is only illegal in some countries who
live in the past and don't want to embrace the digital age. They want
to hold onto outdated business models instead.

BD believes I'm a founding partner of PirateBay.

    Hi all.

I wonder what my legal options are now that he's done with the
inneundo and outright accused me of being directly involved with a very
large and very well known website. That's a very large accusation.
Suggestions from the audience are welcome... Should I use the real life
information I have on him and pursue legal action?

Is Dustin Cook your real name?

    > Should I use the real life information I have on him and

You must be joking, perhaps trying to put a chill into BD (not likely
    he'll feel it).

If you're serious, then you have to realize that he said that he
"believes" you were a co-founder of Pirate Bay. That in and of itself
is not libel or slander, in that he said that he "believed" it to be
true, and that being associated with the Pirate Bay does not have the
same effect on a person's reputation as, say, being associated with the
KKK or Nazi or Communist party.

But you're still an asswipe, and you can come and try to pursue legal
action against me if you like - because I did slander your "reputation"
(if indeed you have one, which I doubt).

Me, I use ear muffs in public just in case. I never listen to
music I don't own the rights to. Even patriot act 3 can't get me. I'm

I didn't read it the same way as you. He's free to state his beliefs as
he pleases I suppose. He believes he is a "Good Guy" too remember. )

Had he said in the second part "He knows full well that what they do is
illegal, but 'he does' it anyway!" I believe you would have a case.

Bottom line, just more slimy innuendo IMO.

It must be a pain in the ass. I couldn't focus on one thing like that
    before I loose interest.

Why reinvent the wheel? Anti virus/Malware is a big $$ industry. One
person is not going come up with something better, even you. **** like
    that takes a team.

I would not plunk down good money to build a company to compete with
those light-years ahead (unless I could steal away their programmers).
