They hired someone and they acquired ownership of a 'hosts' file.
Really? This big a market glitz blow over a *hosts* file? (rolls
eyes). I only had to get partway into the first sentence to realize it
was marketspeak.

BTW: The post for greenled.tk that you responded to was shutdown by dot.tk this AM for
spamming :-)

Considering the itty bitty size of Tokelau and that you'd miss it when
flying over unless the pilot quickly pointed it out, I was surprised
that IANA even had a separate top-level domain (.tk) for it. Maybe it
covers all the Samoan islands and atolls but then there's .as (American
Samoa) and .ws (Samoa).

The company has been profitable from the outset and hasn’t raised money.
Today, Malwarebytes says it is opening a European office (headed by
Fernando Francisco) and is announcing it has acquired hpHosts, which
tracks blacklisted websites, ad servers, and tracking servers. That deal
ensures that Malwarebytes protects against the newest malevolent
internet protocol addresses and blocks the web servers that are used to
distribute malware. hpHosts also uses the blacklist to persuade internet
service providers to shut down malware-producing servers.

I do believe hpHosts is a one-man-band, but it *does sound good*,
doesn't it?!

This is the proprietor:-

Steven Burn
Ur I.T. Mate Group / hpHosts
it-mate.co.uk / hosts-file.net

IIRC, he's also 'MysteryFCM' on the Malwarebytes forums. He was once
very helpful to me when I was trying to get to grips with IP addresses!
