Nope, in fact it's recommenced. Just don't run them at the same time,
and disable the resident in the tray if you have it on (while scanning).

Why should I shut down my SAS (real time) while using MBAM in on-demand
mode?
Also, why not run two resident anti-malware programs at the same time?
I've heard of problems of running multiple anti-virus programs at the same
time, but none with just running multiple anti-malware programs like SAS
and MBAM at the same time.
Willing to learn.

Because you don't want SAS to kick-in when MBAM is doing it's thing. You
should let them handle the files independently.

I don't like running any malware programs in resident mode. System
performance mostly. I've never run two resident malware proggys
together and introduced malware intentionally, that would be a neat
experiment to see which one locks the file first.

They have the potential to interfere with file scanning. IE: MBAM will
try to open something SAS already knows to be bad, sas denies MBAM's
request. It also will take longer, as SAS is monitoring files as they
are opened.

For the same reasons you shouldn't run two antivirus resident. They
can/often will conflict with one another.

A question! In the full version of malwarebytes, you can run it on demand and not have it
loaded at startup - I'm using the trial version and I run it as desired, not having it
launched at startup. Thanks for any insights.

Hello Jeff:
No valid reports have shown that their scanners interfere with the other.
To that end, neither requires the other be in any exclusionary file.
I've run the PRO versions of both together for years with zero trouble.
