    Generic Failure

Not sure which thread to use but hopefully this might be correct.

I am trying to run a few things from within Help and Support. Some are just not functioning and others I receive Generic Failure. I have no idea what the problem is or what could be causing this irregularity. Hopefully someone might be able to throw some light on this issue.

When I try to run My Computer Information all four subsections come up with
Generic Failure. They do not complete.

I just noticed this thread, is this still an issue? If so please provide some details on how you are trying to obtain the information.

    Generic Failure

    HI

Sorry to have taken so long in answering but this is no longer a problem. The fact that I had rcvd no response I decided to reinstall completely and ever since, this irregularity was resolved.
H/ever within the last days I have been receiving numerous entries in my administrative tools / event viewer, all of the same nature.
Perhaps this is not the correct thread but maybe you can refer me to a thread where help might be available.
A sample of the entries as follows:

    quote

    Event Type: Warning
    Event Source: Ci
    Event Category: CI Service
    Event ID: 4101
    Date: 10.05.2007
    Time: 12:16:29
    User: N/A
    Computer: PRIVATE-D686EE5
    Description:
The content index filter for file "c:\windows\internet logs\zalog.txt" generated content data more than 8 times the file's size.

    unquote

Here's is hoping you can help / advise where best to receive some help. It is of course disturbing.
I suspect it is something to do with Zone Alarm but I am unable to reach them in an effort to receive some advice.

    Tks
