Will you stop beating this request of yours to death PLEASE ( sites whose owners
have requested we not cache their content.)
Read the following and understand once and for all. Especially the last line
Cached links that do NOT SHOW
Google takes a snapshot of each page examined as it crawls the web and caches these
as a back-up in case the original page is unavailable. If you click on the "Cached"
link, you will see the web page as it looked when we indexed it. The cached content
is the content Google uses to judge whether this page is a relevant match for your
query.
When the cached page is displayed, it will have a header at the top which serves as
a reminder that this is not necessarily the most recent version of the page. Terms
that match your query are highlighted on the cached version to make it easier for
you to see why your page is relevant.
*********************************************
The "Cached" link will be missing for sites that have not been indexed, as well as
for sites whose owners have requested we not cache their content.

Peter Foldes failed to answer my straight-forward question - *again*!
**
Which was:-
Can *anyone* reach the *original* http://66.39.69.143 site?
If not, why might that be?

66.39.69.143 is just an IP address in a Pair Networks netblock.
As you well know, an IP address is not the usual way of running a
website address for various good reasons.
Whatever is the back story of why the MVP/DTS-l gang chose/needed to do
it that way in the past is not worth the energy to grind it out -- but
that is a subject we have briefly touched on in the past. I seem to
recall that (it appeared) they didn't own the domain name they would
have liked to, so they (must have - apparently) decided to do it with an IP.
These old related MVP sites you are digging up to display/ emphasize/
underline/ their staleness is not of nearly the interest to others as it
seems to be to you.
On this day, there is not a webserver answering port 80 at that IP
address which IP does not (even) have a rDNS. In addition, there is
nothing there that echoes pings.
I would say that 'their' (for some unknown value of 'they') interest in
maintaining the MVP/DTS-l website's forum with a name OR an IP addressed
site has waned if not disappeared.

How original must it be? Do you mean via an archive site?
Otherwise, why are you interested in a site in Pittsburgh?

If you paste http://66.39.69.143 into a browser, are you whisked off to
a URL - or advised 'page not found'?

Because you and all your accessibility is banned with any of your IP's that you use.
Now take that for the answer and stop beating a dead horse.

I checked the information records for the IP. What is your interest?

Thank you, Dustin
In this post Message-ID: <iq4e2c$ivo$1@speranza.aioe.org>
PF says "Because you and all your accessibility is banned with any of

Maybe that is possible, maybe not. I'd appreciate your views.
You know that I know next to nothing about 'computing' and you *also*
know that I long ago recognised /your/ expertise. Call it a hinky
feeling if you wish, but there is a *reason* for Foldes being so
concerned about my interest in AumHa. (It has nothing to do with me
supposedly being a nuisance on the forums either!).
I have read all your comments here on aps - but I don't wish to argue
with you!

Sadly, your response doesn't satisfy my question. Thus, I'm unwilling to
share what I learned. I don't want you causing others problems.
