You will have to make some modifications to AVG's configuration to ensure
they will place nice with each other. See David Lipmans post for the url.
I have found a few systems where this wasn't necessary but for the most
part; it will be.

I usually convert my clients to Avast or avira whenever possible. Less
likely to run into compatability issues, from my experience.
