Please check this log on line 021

HJT has asked for line 021 to be checked as it throws it up as red but says to check with someone first before deleting as its not sure if its bad but is not on its good list. Is it a nasty or not, anyone know?

That is a legitimate entry. Usually refers to Windows Portable Device...can be anything from portable media players, digital still cameras, and mobile phones....key word here I believe is Portable.

I noticed that you are on Virgin broadband and have a few programs to protect yourself from spyware. The one thing I did'nt notice was an active firewall or virus scanner. In this day and age whether or not your on broadband,I would have both as an extra added securtiy against whatever the numpties out there are releasing into the cyberworld.

Great catch Phoenix!!! Boy, I must have read this log with my eyes closed! Goes to show, if you forget to look at the ENTIRE log you miss the obvious!
Follow Phoenix's advice. Some good FREE av programs and firewalls are available in PP's Post
Pick one of each and use them, otherwise it won't be a legitimate entry you are concerned about the next time.

You are ok then. The Windows Firewall does not show in an HJT log and there are certain ISP packages with built in anti-virus programs which don't show either so you are good on both those fronts. We always want to check to be certain.
