If the windows user followed safe hex and didn't run as admin all the
time, this wouldn't be a huge issue. Sadly, most windows users don't
follow safe hex. The majority of persons I encounter don't even want to
know how the machine works, they just want it to. Linux isn't going to
help those people. They're doing good to learn enough about windows to
use it.

Are you going to comment? Do you need the message ID where you admit
you have another account on the malwarebytes forum?

What do you have to say, BD?

I've seen posts in other groups from dyed-in-the-wool Windroid pointy-
clicky ****ers saying that they've just installed some Linux distro and
want to know how to get rid of the pop-up asking for their password every
time they have to install something or changing settings of one sort or
another.

Unbelievable how people want speed and short-term convenience (saving
five seconds occasionally) over long-term system security.

That is a 91 post thread from 2007 July-Sept in
microsoft.public.security.virus, at which time MS was carrying that
group on its server. The majority of the posts in the first half of that
thread were made by you with other contributions by such as PF.

Trying to read that thread in GG http://bit.ly/grBwDX at this time is
exceedingly slow, with google moving like molasses and throwing up
server alerts.

Subject: Re: A new 'Beta' test from Panda
Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2007 10:48:40 -0400
Newsgroups: microsoft.public.security.virus

At that time DHL said:

I tell you why you should "trust" Peter.

Because Peter Foldes *IS* trustworthy and I back what he has written in
this thread.

DHL backing what PF said in the thread is not the same as saying PF can
be trusted 'universally' including everything which PF has ever said to you.

In any case, I disagree with DHL's advice to you about your (ever)
trusting PF. Perhaps DHL can trust what PF says to *him*, or what PF
said to you specifically in that thread (which I have not yet read) not
what PF says to *you* generally.

Sometimes PF speaks truthfully to you and sometimes he doesn't.
Therefore you should not read his messages and converse with him.

> Ever tried 'Googling' "David H Lipman"?!!!

No. That would not be a good way for me to find the context of a message
which _you_ are thinking about. There are a lot of DHL messages.

It is much better/ more appropriate/ for _you_ to find and specify the
message.

That must be a new one I haven't heard of. Is it better than Malwarebytes?

JD in this context is Jack Daniel's, a Tennessee sour mash whiskey
prepared by a specific process. And in a specific place.

Such whiskey might be compared or likened to bourbon whiskeys, but it is
not officially so.

Mike

You are correct in that way. What I posted on the MS servers while it was operational and what I post on the new MS Forums and on other servers is completely different to what I post here on this server and post to BD. I have an huge issue with him and so I continue and will continue to post to him as I am doing now. A few know exactly what he did to me and my family and even if all of you are looking at me with the beliefs that you formed on my persona, I really do not care. This person ( BD) is a real piece of work as far as being a discriminating, forger, liar, back stabber and an all around Troll.
He has toned down quite a bit since 2005-06 but the damage he did at that time is still lingering and will linger as long there is breath in my body.
I AGAIN suggest that you should (everyone else also) stay out of this between BD and myself. Outside of the latter you can see my posts when it comes to my postings that do not include this sorry excuse of a human being calling himself as BD or any of the other names he uses on occasions

And as usual I will continue to post and try to help others with computer related issues as I have been doing since 1993

Thank you
