    screen problem

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but here is my problem.
When my laptop is on, the screen will sometimes "spaz out"! Sometimes I get horizontal lines all over the screen. Sometimes the screen goes dull/dark. Sometimes I get what looks like tiny xxxxxxxx's. When these things happen, the computer just stops/freezes.
If I twist the screen just right, it all clears up and works fine. I can twist it back and problems come back. I assumed it was a problem with a wire or cable. I disassembled the top and turned the computer back on. I can move the wires around and it doesn't affect the screen. I twist the screen and it stays clear. If I touch the circuit board (it's covered with clear plastic)on the back of the screen, several things happen but it looks different. It works better disassembled. When I put it back together, the problem comes back. Could it be the screen itself?
I have an HP pavilion dv8130us. Is this problem common?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,Jim

Is this still under warranty? I am no expert on hardware but it certainly sounds as if there is a problem with the wiring or something, not software. Have you tried on the HP Chat line? I have done that before with my printer and always received excellent help. Of course that is a printer but the live chat worked very well.
