As I am only using Opera as my sole browser, is there any benefit to
be gained by installing SpywareBlaster?

Since I don't have an answer and this does piqued my interest, I have asked for you >

No problem, I found the answer in the FAQ
(http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spyw....html#Browsers)
<quote>
SpywareBlaster provides protection for your favorite web browser(s):
Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Netscape
Seamonkey
Flock
K-Meleon
and browsers that use the IE engine, including:
AOL web browser
Avant Browser
Slim Browser
Maxthon (formerly MyIE2)
Crazy Browser
GreenBrowser
Guarding the Door
Many other programs use Internet Explorer as a default browser, or use the Internet Explorer engine to
isplay their interface or content. So even if your browser is not listed above (e.g. Opera),
SpywareBlaster will protect you in many other cases. </quote>
Cheers,

Silj,
Thank you again.
It seems that SpywareBlaster does not offer any specific protection to
the Opera browser but, as it does not appear to consume any machine
resources of note, I will keep it in place and continue to update it
for the rare occasions that I use Firefox or IE to view websites that do
not render correctly in Opera.
I am indeed well obliged to you for your help/advice on this matter.
