Wouldn't it be easier to simply reformat the badly infected drive,
rather than trying to pull it out of a _laptop_?

Especially since Abner says:

Abner, scan the "documents" too, before attempting to copy them back.

Make sure the Windows 7 "Starter" has its firewall turned on. (Does
"Starter" even have a firewall?)
