Social networking is here to stay, Facebook has over 500 million users.
Twitter not as many but a lot of folks I know use both.
Both services and other social exchange sites have their inherent privacy issues.
Facebook, probably the most. Unless you lock down your Facebook account
you are wide open to datamining and exploits as they are found almost weekly.
I don't Tweet, personally I have never seem the use for this sort of service, many
do.
There is too much detail to post here, if you should choose to use either, or, proceed
with caution. Be aware and check the EULA's, TOS, Privacy, etc, often.
