You are wrong, but that is no surprise.

    From:

    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

    "System Requirements
SpywareBlaster works on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7."

    I don't see OS-X listed - do you?

    No?

Then, OS-X does *not* meet the requirements. )

Mac's need protection just like any other OS does, it is just that the
current landscape is Mac friendly compared to Windows because most
malware is written for Windows due to their larger marketshare.

Now that wasn't very nice now, was it?

No! Just like Malwarebytes, the organisation has determined that there
is no point in distributing a free of charge software facility to Mac
users. Neither company explains why, though!

True - but I can (and have) used it on my other *clients* (thought I'd
    demonstrate that I do listen!)

OK. Let's assume that you are correct.

What protection software is currently recommended?

    http://www.google.com/search?q=mac+s...x=&startPage=1

Basically, there is nothing about the Mac that prevents a user from
    running the wrong software.

Maybe too small a market for the big dogs to bother with.

I don't know, I'm just a computer user like you. IMO you can all but
eliminate malware by policy - no "software" can replace the brain (yet).
For that which cannot be eliminated, you need antivirus and protection
    from exploit based malware.

Wow... Dude, it's a win32 executable. Why would you expect it to work
    on OS X?

Too bad it's a freeware app and it's author doesn't have the financial
backing to sue you for slander. The app is legit, it's author is legit
and it's been around for years.

Are you *sure* you haven't confused this product with Spy-WARE-Blaster?
