Macintosh or Windows?

To run vista, you are going to need a top of the line gaming PC....

1- PowerPCs can't run Windows...they're RISC.
2- EFI prevents PCs from running OS X without illegal hacks. Boot Camp bypasses the EFI roadblock so you can run WIndows on an Intel-based Mac.
3- Some folks have Vista running on Intel-based Macs just fine with 2GB of RAM and some of the eye-candy turned off.
4- Macs are on current architectures and have been for a while. G5 PowerMacs had PCIe cards, all current Mac models run on DDR2 and my Mac Pro has 4 16x PCI express slots.
5- Giz - buy a Macbook...they rock and if you hate OS X, you can always run Windows on it.

I am going to try, but I need the $$ for it...but I will get one. I need a laptop that'll last more than 2 hours on a charge...and the macbook is 6 hours on a normal battery and charge...soooo...

Flash drives are easier, but most of the computers I work on have CD-RW drives at the least, while hardly any of them have USB 2.0 or USB ports anywhere but on the back. IMHO, I'd rather just burn a disc than crawl around the back of a computer every time I want to transfer a large file.

Yes, but every computer I ever come in contact with now, has usb easily accessible.

Yup. That's actually nice...you don't have cords (if you need some) running out from all sides of the computer.

this dell has two usb on the side, mic and headphone on the side everything else is on the back out and out of the way.
