Which proves that 99.995% of Facebook's user base is
braindead or doesn't give a rat's arse about privacy. I
didn't need to quit. I could tell it had the potential to
become the ****hole it did become so I never joined
in the first place.

I'd say the latter is more true. We live in a different world today. Books
such as "1984" have not only come to pass but today's results is far more than
the author could have imagined. And even with lack of privacy, the sky didn't
fall.
