    Speed issues?

Is it just me, or has the site been kinda sluggish in the past day or so? I tried viewing a few threads last night and I got the error that they couldn't be found. That was at home, and here at work I had that error at first, but now it's still taking a long time to load pages, but it's intermittent....

Maybe Martin is looking up the sheeps again...

Yeah, despite the relatively slow traffice the site does seem to get sluggish but I didn't get any errors in the last few weeks or so.
Just a bit slow time to time which might be ISP or server maintenance related and I didn't make much of it since it was for a short while always.

Gizmo, don't you have Dial-up at home? If so, you really shouldn't whine about your home connection being slow....lol

Well, it doesn't matter what connection I"m on, the site has been iffy lately....and I'm not complaining but when I get errors saying that the page could not be found and they are coming from the forum, I begin to wonder.

Well, it actually does matter. If you connection is iffy and dropping out between your PC and the IANAG Server, you could get those errors.

I have gotten that error like a few times in the past and at those times, there were network connectivity issues at my work so it was understandable...if that is what you are having then yeah, speed won't matter but the longer it takes to load a web page the higher the chances of a failure I think.

Well, I haven't had any issues lately, all other sites load fine, and I don't have any packet loss or connectivity issues at any location. In any case, I just thought it is mentionable.

And I wasn't saying it doesn't matter, I was saying I get the errors on all of my connections.

In that case it might be the server at IANAG then. Hard to say since I do not know the exact days and hours but I seem to have more issue on the site earlier in the day compared to later in the evening (remember I am in the West Coast).

Also, I know you are in love with Firefox but when you have the issue again try IE or another browser such as Opera to see if the issue occurs again. Certain low-profile website might act up a bit with FF for some reason.

I didn't meant to give you hard time just tossing ideas to make sure it was not an isolated issue (well, also wanted to give you a bit of hard time lol)

I know you were. I have done that before, just not this time. The last time I had issues when Martin was working on the server I tried IE and got the same thing...so I don't really know....

In spite of using FireTune or FasterFox, most of the time Firefox appears to load slower than IE on my system too.
At best, it is about the same as IE...
