I refer you to the following, which is actually a blog post about the
lawsuit in which I was a defendant:

http://blog.ericgoldman.org/archives...e_defamati.htm

"Doing research for this blog post required me to go back into USENET, a
place I haven't been in years, and I was instantly reminded why I don't go
there any more. Putting aside the signal-to-noise ratio, I simply could not
intellectually comprehend most of the posts I saw. It's like the posts were
written for people who live in a parallel English-speaking universe with a
very different grammar and logic than mine. Who is still reading and writing
this stuff??? And who in the world takes anything in an unmoderated USENET
group seriously???"

Note the last line. Then note it again. And again. And again, until you stop
responding to this bs.

Not true.

I married a kookologist--*after* all the bull**** in auk. Actually, while it
was still ongoing. What does that tell you?

I read this group, and the bs is annoying. Moreover, you used one of my
replies (edited to suit your purpose, I might add--don't do it again) to
respond to someone else. Further, the incident in which my name and address
were posted to alt.sex was brought into this. I'd say that I have an
interest.

Besides which, it's a public group, one that you are also disrupting with
your inability to use your killfile. That gives me another very good reason
to comment.

Just let it go. Stop replying. Take a lesson from 4Q who just walked away
rather than hang around for Paulin's repeated defamation of his character.
(Frankly, I wish 4Q weren't gone, but his absence did put an end to "The
Apostle" so everyone owes him.) Eventually, your continued replies will have
an effect that is the opposite of what you want--everyone will wish you were
gone rather than just wishing the trolls would put a lid on it. No one cares
what they're saying--they believe what they believe for good or ill without
regard for the trolls--but I guarantee that everyone will weary of you
entirely if you continue to reply.
