    MBAM hanging system

About 20 minutes into a full scan of my system (XP Pro/SP3) with the
latest version of MBAM the system hangs and needs a hard reset to
recover. I've tried it three times today running unattended with no
other applications. Anybody having the same problem?

I have just tried six times to register to this forum. It just keeps
recycling through the register page with no indication of what it
doesn't like. I presume it's the cryptic code that one has to copy as
the last entry, but on this forum they're easy to read for a change. I
    give up.

Do you believe that MBAM is a bonio fido anti-malware facility Peter?

TRT has some bad things to say about MBAM, here:
    http://pcbutts1-therealtruth.blogspot.com/

Maybe MBAM puts bad things *on* to a PC. How would simple folk know?

Try the following which was posted by David H Lipman

    Download,
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

    rename; mbam-setup.exe to cisz.com
and then run cisz.com to install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

    Go to;
    C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    COPY; mbam.exe to mbam.com

update and then execute a quick scan.

Not sure if it will help in her situation. It is good for when the name is blocked but
MBAM.COM is not a good rename because it still has 'MBAM' in it. For the block from
running problem renaming completely away from MBAM to something else like ROBIN.COM is
    OK.

I am not sure. If may be a faux conclusion. However, that is not germain since YOU are
    not Robin.
