    My HijackThis LogFile

    Hi Everyone -

My name is Mark and I would like to thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to give. If any of you ever need free advice regarding vintage collectibles such as comics and magazines I would be happy to help.

My PC recently began to misbehave about 3 days ago. At first just general slowness, lagging when I have multiple pages open, sites freezing momentarily as they struggle to display info. I did reboots. Did scans. I deleted temp files, java cache, history and cleared up files on my C Drive. I was going to defrag too but my computer said it was not necessary. I updated Firefox and Java today and I couldn't really notice a difference. I looked around at my processes and nothing was going on there. Avira Antivirus (paid version) couldn't find anything either and it scans every day.

Then, just this afternoon I noticed something strange when Firefox started up and opened 1 window to Yahoo as it always does. However, Yahoo is really hanging at this point and I see a "connecting to 1.yming.com in the bottom left corner of the screen. If I run my cursor over it it moves to the right side. During this time my PC is really struggling to display the entirety of the Yahoo Home Page. After Yahoo finally loads and I travel to another webpage it struggles some more. Just basic sites to. I go to a Forum called the Collector's Society and if someone posts a thread with a bunch of jpegs my PC will start chugging again.

Don't know if it is relevant but I have my Autostart Function blocked (except for CDs and DVDs) so that when Avira starts I get a "For your security access to file D:\autorun.inf has been blocked".

So, I honestly wanted to be able to solve this one on my own and tried my best. At this point I thought that i would seek out some help rather than get frustrated. And hey: if anyone needs assistance with vintage comic books all the advice you need would be free. That's what i do and hopefully i could return the favor.

Below is my logfile. I hope that I did this right and didn't commit a Forum Faux Pau. I'll keep this page open and keep refreshing.

Post the requested logs from the link given to you by S.Templar and we can take a look. Really don't see anything in the HJT log. That really is rarely used today however because it just doesn't give that much info. So to the other scans and post back with those logs. We can take a look.
