Delete that DDS program completely. Also, I want you to turn off system restore completely also.
- Open System by clicking the Start button
, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.
- In the left pane, click System protection.
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Under Protection Settings, click the disk, and then click Configure.
- Click Turn off system protection, click OK, and then click OK again.
I want you to do something I rarely recommend but this "bugger" is a beast! I have spent much of today researching this and some have success removing it and others don't and end up reformatting the computer and reinstalling. I am truly trying to avoid this!
Open CCleaner.
Go to the Registry Section. Click the Scan for Issues button. Let it scan. Once complete it is going to essentially show you "dead" registry entries, listings that now point to nothing. I want you to delete all found. It will ask if you want to make a back up, choose yes and then let it get rid of everything found.
Then do the following:
Download HiJackThis version 2.0.4
http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/
Run a Full Scan and Save the log, post back here with it.
