    Internet slooooooooow.

My internet speed has dropped of to about half of the normal speed. Watching anything on You Tube or Hulu now is annoying as it constantly has to buffer and play catchup. Also IE acts a bit wonky. IF I right click and select open in new tab, I get a new tab, but it is blank.. nothing opens in it.

I ran Malwarebites. Both quick and complete, came up clean. I hope one of you gurus can help me out.

Computer: Toshiba Satellite L655-S5150, 4 gig ram, 248 gig free HD space. WIndows 7 --64 bit, all current updates.

I tried posting the contents of Hijack to the "Hijack This Analyzer" on here and kept getting hte message "Critical Error! Your log contains HTML tags. Valid HijackThis logs should not have HTML tags. Are you *sure* you're using this system for analysing your HijackThis logs? "

Here is the contents of it:

Hi - I am not a Hjt log expert but I offer these suggestions.
You have McAfee and WebRoot security installed.
Is WebRoot their Anti-Virus, Spyware program?

If yes - McAfee - WebRoot will conflict with each other as they try to read and protect your system.

Start up 04 in your log - too many programs are running at start up.
Do not use Hjt log to remove these.
    Check.

I'd also disable TeaTimer in Spybot Search & Destroy
Known at times to cause some problems.

Let us know if any of the above helps.

The online "Hijack This Analyzer" - is out of date and not to be trusted.

I will look at those things and will let you know. As far as McAfee and Webroot, they both came pre installed on the computer, but are out of subscription date now.. only came with 6 months of usage.

I will see what I can disable in startup apps. I am hesitent to mess with startup services without good advice as I dont know what does what.

    Check..
    Sysinfo.org
    http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php

Copy and paste a start up entry [ie - NDSTray.exe ] into the Search Box and you will see if it needs to run at start up.

Do not untick anything under the Services Tab in msconfig.
Use just the Start up Tab.
Any changes made under the Start up tab in msconfig - can be undone if needed.
