That should be a "sticky" on the Spyware Blaster board:

As Han indicated, runs fine on Win 7.

Howerver they are server platforms and that software shouldn't be installed on a Server.
Servers must be treated differently that workstations. "Browsing" that can get a user
into trouble on a workstation should *never* be done on a server platform as one must
respect the role that computer plays in an Active Directory Domain.

What is "it". "It" is not stated in the body of the post.
The subject line should be a short blurbn about the subject matter of a post. The body
should fully explain the query and/or subject matter of the post.
A software called "Spyblaster" is mentioned in the subject. What is "Spyblaster" ?
Are people supposed to "guess" at what your post is supposed to mean ?

David
Yes David I am quite aware of that and thanks for bringing this up for other people.
My working servers that I use for work will never see SpywareBlaster or anything
else that is designed for use on Windows based machines. The 2 other servers which I
use for home use along with the family I have SpywareBlaster ,SAS,Malwarebytes and
Emisoft installed and running and those 2 machines are basically for home use and I
really do not need anything else on it.
Maybe I should have refrained from posting the info as I did and should have put a
warning not to use it on a working server since it needs commercial products when it
comes to using it.
Thanks David for bringing up this info which I should have taken into account

I've been reading here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=VS.85%29.aspx
"Core Concepts of Active Directory Domain Services"
I've not recognised anything that supports your view that software
should not be installed on a server. Please will you supply some further
advice about this, Mr Lipman?
Peter Foldes professes to be a computer guru and an ex-Microsoft MVP.
He'd surely be aware of what you claim - you can't both be right!

BD
David is correct with his post. On a working Server you need an AV and other Malware
for specialized protection that is not listed in any of the posts here. The only
reason that I mentioned it to Silj's post was to let all know that it does work on a
server but like David posted it should not be installed on a WORKING Server on
account that it will not cover the full scope of the server.
Before anyone mentions to the latter (full scope ) I posted it in layman terms for
BD to understand. Explaining the full reasoning behind it to BD will cause him to
mis-understand or fully not understand the complete factual details.
