    Xfoboqaxalazah in start up

    Hello
I caught a virus today and I thought my anti-virus had it removed. Now in my startup I see this entry "Xfoboqaxalazah". This didn't produce any results in the startup data base on this site. Has anyone seen this one before?
    Thanks for any response.

Hi, see if it is listed in msconfig
    Start>run>type
    msconfig

If yes, untick the entry and reboot.
On reboot - it will say you have make some changes to start up.
Just tick the box saying you know of said changes.

I'd also run an online scan - just to double check.

Housecall scan - has to run using IE.

it is most likely a randomly generated file name by the virus, chances are you won't find a discription of that based on the file name but some virus scanners will identify code based on the virus signature database and be able to identify what virus is pressent.
I am only on this site once or twice a month but I will keep an eye out for your next response.

Follow the instructions located here then copy and paste the text from the requested log files into your next post.
