    Macbook Bro GSoD

Hey folks, wondering if we have any mac techs here, got a question for you that I can't seem to get around but lots of people seem to know about.
the GF has a macbook pro 15" (2007), Once I can get it to boot, I will load up a fresh install of OSX, and it will run normally for about 5-6 days, and then it will freeze up, reboot, and then it's all fun and games trying to get around the GSoD. It gets to the point where it wont boot from HDD or CD/DVD. When I do get it to run I can run hardware diagnostics and everythign passes just fine, then it may take another 3-4 days of playing around with it before I can get it to boot again, in which case I have to format, reinstall OSX. Any ideas as to what might cause this issue?

Are you sure the SMART status on the drive is ok? I'd try swapping it just to be safe and see if the issue persists. That's usually the cause of something like that, a drive that's not dead, but is dying with the heat that builds up...
